Dirfys

DIRFYS NATURE

Dirfys, is an important mountain range of the centre-eastern Evia with an altitude of 1743 meters.

Its terrain is quite rugged and steep, especially on the Eastern side. The western side has a conical shape. Dirfys has heavy snowfall during the winter because it is exposed to the cold northeast currents.

The flora and fauna of Dirfys is quite rich and at high altitudes great fir forests occur whereas at lower elevations chestnuts, oaks, sycamores, pines and various deciduous are found.
